no eMail adresses after sync Android-->funambol-->Thunderbird3/IpodTouch/Evolution

After successfully syncing the contacts of my htc hero (Android 1.5) with the Client 1.7.0.25 to funambol, eMails and notes in the contacts are not there. I tried with Thunderbird 3, IpodTouch and Gnome Evolution. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Email and notes fields are fully supported by the Android client. But the server might not support these fields (or is configured to not use them).

Feel free to send a log file (including msg logs) to Synthesis containing a new item on client side containing email and note info, then we will have a look at it.

Thnaks for this offer. I tried and enabled at settings-server settings-log next sync. It asked me after successful syncing, if it should send the log to Synthesis, I said yes and than Synthesis SyncML crashed...

Try to choose "keep logs" at end of the sync with logging.
The log file will be copied then to the sdcard's download folder where you can pick it up.

You are right. eMail is synced to funambol. Please have the part of the log file:

But neither thunderbird 3.0.4 (ubuntu lucid) nor evolution (ubuntu lucid) nor Ipod Touch Funambol Client is getting it. So maybe this problem is caused in your App. By the way, besides this the app is really good!

That's really strange. Can you tell me what the client should do else than sending the mail the way you see it ?

Maybe the server is not interpreting the devInf correctly. As there are major definition changes of the devInf between SyncML/1.1 and 1.2 it might be worth to try a sync by using SyncML/1.1.

B.t.w.: There are several sync servers which receive the email addresses correctly from the Android client, so I can't really believe that this is a client problem.
