Your release version contains everything to act as a debug build .

You can switch on "log next sync" and run a sync session.
At the end you can choose "keep logs", you'll then get the log file on your SDcard's "download" folder (or you can let them send to Synthesis)

Regards,
Beat

But I can't launch/start synthesis at all. How am I supposed to turn-on those options. Besides I did send you the log file.

Once again: my problem is that when I start synthesis only a black bar with title "Synthesis" appears and then hides back. No message boxes no nothing.

I also have a desire and have exactly the same phenomenon after froyo upgrade a couple of days ago.

I don't think it has anything to do with Android 2.2.
It looks like a problem when the newly introduced update checker tries to look at the Synthesis server for new updates and the Android SSL connection blocks for some reason internally. We're trying to find a fix for this.
Reinstallation has no effect, but trying once again after 10 minutes or so helps usually.

It started right at he same time as I got 2.2 and it doesn't help to wait any 10 minutes.

Saho and I both have Sense, though. Might be related if everything runs OK on other phones with 2.2.

In my case trying latter (not 10 minutes latter, most likely a day or two latter) really helped, but after a reboot synthesis didn't start again, so unfortunately this is not a workaround.
