![]() Hello,
I have a user who makes, shall we say, agressive use of the "Note" field attached to Contacts on the Treo 700p. Is there any limit, hard or otherwise, to the amount of data which can by synced by the SyncML client? If it matters, we're using the Oracle Collaboration sync server, verion 9.0.4.2.latest. Thank you, Andrew |

![]() There is a limit of the PalmOS AddressBook application (or more precisely, the PalmOS Note View) that limits the note to 4096 chars max.
In the new 3.0 client, this limit is also communicated to the server in the devInf (maxsize) so the server could optimize traffic (by not sending more than those 4096 chars). But it's no problem if the server sends a larger note - the client just truncates incoming notes to fit that upper limit.
