SyncML client for Mac OS X Sync Services

Mac OS X has its Sync Services environment, in which applications all hook into common interfaces for the use and exchange of common data -- things like calendar events, address books and tasks. Sound familiar?

What's missing, however, is a hook which allows that environment to leverage an external SyncML server. We have a couple thousand users who keep the information inside Oracle Calendar, and they'd love to get that information hooked into OS X's iCal or Address Book applications.

If there was a SyncServices plugin which talked to an external SyncML server, oh what a happy world it would be!

For someone familiar with SyncServices (but not with SyncML), this could probably be done based on our SyncML client engine which exists for Mac OS X. It allows to write custom plugins for data access (C,C++,Java, anything that can generate a dylib). Such a plugin could hook into or interact with SyncServices.
The plugin API is relatively simple, and completely free of SyncML specifics (these are all transparently handled in our SyncML client engine)

We've done some feasibility tests with a hacked iPod touch already, and it looks promising...

I'm hoping that the SyncML client for iPhone/Touch can come pretty quickly. Were I work we are currently evaluating moving our 80 users from Treo/Palms to iPhone/Touch's. The only thing holding this up is, for the most part, sync'ing with our Oracle Calendar server.

So, if you need beta/alpha or other testers...please give us a ring!

we have already spilled out 40+ iPhones and need syncing capabilities with our Oracle Collab Suite. So I'd be highly interested in doing beta testing for this product.

Ditto!!!, beta tester here too. Our company uses syncwise 2005 to groupwise and needs syncml for iphone.
