![]() Hi!
Does anyone know a webbased groupware that works well with the Synthesis SyncML Server? Has anyone experiences in customizing the server-config to work with one? I tried eGroupware and their SyncML-Interface before changing to Synthesis Server. eGroupware does not sync very well with my palm (home addresses do not sync from egw to palm and private email get's lost). I am a home user so it is no option to order a customization. Greetings, Carsten |

![]() Hi,
I use OpenGroupware, which is a reasonably well working open source groupware solution (see www.opengrouware.org). It synchronizes quite well with the Synthesis server, although it has some limitations. If you want the data, just give me a signal. Jaap |

![]() Thanks for your offer Jaap!
I might get back to it later. At the moment I am going to give the funambol server a second try because I would not need the nexthaus Outlook-Plugin then - for private use I would like to spare the 30$. I could not make the funambol-Outlook-plugin work with the synthesis server. Since I could not make it work with zyb.com either I blame the plugin for this. Another interesting thing is that Scalix announced that they are going to make funambol server work with their groupware. In the meantime I could use "simple groupware" which already works with funambol. Thanks for your offer! BTW: While looking for a web based groupware with palm and outlook connections I found opengroupware but skiped it because in their forum there were to many unanswered questions. Can you tell me something about your experiences with the support and documentationof opengroupware? Carsten |

I am new in this forum (subscribe today....). I also use EGW and sync data (calendar/contacts) with a palm Tungsten E. I confirm your post : home email do not sync in both ways. Since I do not use home address, I can't say anything about this. I have tryed to understand what happend, but I am not programmer.... Perhaps the problem is located in the /calendar/inc/class.vcalladdressbook.inc.php You can read that synthesis ag device is assigned to defaultfield array 0 : Quote:
I have tryed to insert ** 'EMAIL;INTERNET;HOME' => array('email_home'), ** line, but at this time, second email in my palm (first : work, second : home) are included and replace the work email in EGW .... strange, is'nt it ? Perhaps I'm totaly wrong and the problem is in another place ... In any case, I continue to work with EGW, just because the calendar sync between palm and EGW works fiiiine. Best regards, and If someone can help ...... YL Last edited by yvelan; 2006-10-10 at 00:56. |
