Motorola Sync Problem with Synthesis

I'm testing the Synthesis SyncML server for use in a mobile sync-ing, calendar/contacts application, so I've got a range of Mobile phones here that for the testing of the sync process.

My Nokia N95 works flawlessly, updates fine on the server, updates on the client and if both server and client update the newer wins as expected. The two sony ericcsons I have here, are close to perfect too. However every Motorola I try refuses to update back to the client.

It'll push all contacts/calendar events up to the server, but won't take anything back. Is there an issue with Motorola mobiles and syncML, or has anyone else seen this behaviour?

I'm getting the same thing on both the standalone server and whilst using the apache modules (mod_sysync2.so).
