Contact Groups

Hi there!

We are developing a SyncSource to sync the contact in our groupware to our iPhone devices using Funambol and Synthesis AG for iPhone.

We want to provide a way to our users to organize their contact in groups like Family, Friends or Work. We know about the CATEGORIES attribute of the vCard specification that can be used to that purpose.

It's work ok but when we remove all contact form a contact group there's no way to remove the group from the iPhone. Is there a way to do that, to remove all contacts from a group, exclude that group from groupware, do the sync and have the group removed from the device?
