![]() Syncing calendar works fine but syncing contacts is a problem. When I use normal sync the contacts get downloaded on my phone correctly but with a second sync they are deleted from the server's contact list. Syncing a third time deletes them on the phone as well. I can't get it to work correctly.
My settings: SyncML v1.7.2.6 HTC Desire Android v2.1 MDaemon server v11.0.2 Sync Mode: Normal Sync Server Path: contacts Active SyncML Contacts Weather: OFF Stocks: OFF xxx@gmail.com: OFF |

![]() At least one addressbook must be activated (preferably the gmail account in your case), else no data is visible at all for the server.

![]() When I activate my Gmail for syncing then my online Gmail address book gets filled with my MDaemon contacts. I don't want that. I just want MDaemon to sync with my HTC Desire phone contacts.
The contacts on my phone are not synced at all. The are just a few entries with <unknown> <synthensis>. The syncml...mrk file contains: 20100603T152028 20100603T152105 20100603T132012Z 2e32a58b4ca7427189e01dbb9af98146 413 20100603T152040 4a10c488afa042eaa6f661c9b14a6959 415 20100603T152040 cf853666682c4b649501a8839dc6d8dd 403 20100603T152040 d742409a9ca840808b6aacdc9b0bb822 414 20100603T152040 Is this correct? |

![]() The internal phonebook is not a separate database, it's not possible to write to there specifically, it seems to be a combined account together with the gmail account. If the Android client is reading, it gets entries from gmail account or internal phone book, but there is no way to find out from where it is coming from.
So there is no way to keep these two addressbooks separate. Everything in the database is account based, so if you switch off all accounts, nothing is visible. There are some Android tools which allow to create new accounts, with such an account, things can be kept separately. BR Beat PS: What is the syncml...mrk file ?

![]() Ok, but my contacts are still not synchronized correctly.
1. Some contacts on my phone are not added to the server 2. Some contact on the server aren not added to the phone 3. Sometimes contacts are deleted from the server and not added to the phone I can't see any logical behaviour in this. The .mrk files are created in the contacts folder on the MDaemon server after a sync. I thought this might be of some meaning. |

![]() Are there rejects on one or both sides ?
If you can create a log of a current session and let it send to Synthesis, I can have a look at it and hopefully see an error pattern for the missing items. Keep me informed about time of logged sync. No, the mrk files seems to something MDaemon specific.

![]() Please create a log file and let it send to Synthesis.
I'll have a look at it. Please send me username and sync time of logged session Beat (bfo@synthesis.ch)
