Default Email address appeared as a category!

Lots of people at my work have synced their Todo+Cal+Sync apps to our Oracle Calendar server and they suddenly get an extra category - it's someone's GMail address! Has anyone seen this? Why are lots of people at work seeing this same address appearing as a category when no-one's ever sent an email to it?

It looks like this was being caused by someone syncing their Android phone to their Google account and our Oracle Calendar server, and the phone was adding their email address in as a "category". If the user deletes the category on the phone they don't see the category again unless they do a full sync.

I noticed similar behavior, only after an iPhone was synced to Gmail, so I think the issue might not be limited to just Android phones. Strange that it picks a random person to add as a category!

Any way to permanently remove this category?

You can remove the Category from Oracle Calendar by using the Outlook Connector, but that doesn't stop the phone from re-adding it! It would be best to tell Todo+Cal+Sync to ignore the Category field altogether.
