Default Times off by several hours for recurring events after syncing!

For some reason, my recurring events cause all the calendars involved (Mdaemon, Android, and Gmail) to change by several hours. Anyone have a clue?

More info:

1) Events are off by exactly the time offset from GMT

2) All devices, servers, desktops are set to correct timezone

3) Windows mobile client syncs fine

4) Android 2.1 device syncs events that are not all day events as being off by the exact amount that my timezone is offset from GMT

5) If I set my android device to be 0:00 (GMT Time) the all day events become skewed!

The time zone implementation of the Android is very well tested and is based on the same structure as the Windows Mobile client. So it would make sense to check the time zone settings of the server.

A closer investigation of the VCALENDAR items coming from the server would probably show where the problem is coming from.

Allday events on Android are in fact a serious problem, as the calendar app contains a bug which extends them to 2-day-events.
There is no 100 % workaround possible for that, but there is a switch in the Android client to switch off allday events.

Regards,
Beat
