Default 20005 error on palm

Hi,

i've just changed my Nokia e62 to a palm centro. Nokia e62 has a built in syncml client and i was using it to sync with my synthesis server - it was working fine

Palm centro does not have a built in syncml client. so i downloaded synthesis syncml client for palm (i'm using palm OS 5. Download syncml client 3.0.2)

well.... can't sync anymore. The sync does not start, and I just receive a "20005 error" from the client. I've tryed again the nokia with the same configuration and, again, worked fine. So: the problem should be in the client for palm.

the nokia and palm client configurations are identical. I'm using port 81, so the url is something like http://.............:81 .This is not a problem, is it ?

thanks,

Joao

No, different ports work fine with the Palm client as such. However, non-Port-80 HTTP sometimes does not work due to the cellular network. Is it the same provider as the one you used with the Nokia before?

Error 20005 indicates a low level network problem with receiving data from the server.

Sometimes, the network also interferes with plain HTTP SyncML - try https if your server supports that.

With palm centro sync works well on port 80, but not on por 81. With Nokia, sync works in both ports. So: the problem should be with the palm and port 81 association.

I will try to configure my apache for windows to load sync.dll and sync using port 80. But i would need to compile mod_sync2.c into mod_sync2.so, and documentation for that is very week. Any help would be apreciated

thanks,
